Saxonville Mill was built around 1884. The mill is nestled in a loop of the Sudbury river, in north Framingham, Massachusetts. The river had been dammed earlier and the force of water used to power industry at the new mill.

For the photographer, the mill offers plenty of fine brickwork, some nicely detailed metal work and some ornamentation in the Second Empire style. Details of a walk around the Saxonville historic district can be found at http://www.framingham.com/sax-walk/
